4.New Member Induction Session

Thursday, 15 Feb 2018 7pm - 7:30pm

  • Bookings are now closed for this event.

All new members of SSPC are required to attend a New Member Induction Session in order to finalise the new membership process.

Prerequisites for the attending the induction session are;

  1. Completion of the Handgun Safety Awareness Course,

  2. Completion of the New Member Interview Session, and

  3. Submission and acceptance of a New Membership Application.

The induction session is necessary in order to;

  1. Advise all new members of how the club operates and how the member is expected to behave BEFORE being given access to the club and club competitions, and

  2. Confirm the new members knowledge and acceptance of the SSPC Code of Conduct BEFORE issuing their membership ID cards and access to the club.

The induction session is held at 7.00pm (Sharp) in the SSAA Committee Room at the Springvale Range on the third Thursday of each month, just before each SSPC Committee Meeting.

Please attend the Bistro Area of the club rooms from 6.45pm so that we can start on time.

This induction session is mandatory and you will not become an official member of the club until you attend an induction session.

After attending the session and agreeing to be bound by the Code of Conduct, you will receive your membership card and a letter of endorsement that will be required for Part 8 of your Provisional General Category Handgun License application.

After receiving your membership card, you are welcome to attend the club on any of our shooting days to take part in competitions.

You will still be required to fill in a NORI form each time you shoot handguns at the range until you receive your provisional licence.

Once again, welcome to the final step to joining our club and we hope you enjoy your time with us.
