Winter Warmer: Candlelit Yin Yoga Session

Sunday, 10 Dec 2017 6pm - 7:45pm

  • Bookings are now closed for this event.

Come in out of the cold and join Alison for an extended yin yoga class this Christmas. The carefully crafted sequence of postures will help warm and nurture your body, mind and spirit as you cosy up in our candlelit studio. There’ll be a sprinkling of affirmations, some breath work (pranayama) and plenty of time to slow down, surrender and let go in each of the poses. The long guided relaxation will ensure you feel truly rested.   All levels are welcome and options, including the use of props, will be provided during the class.

Please bring a blanket and/or cushion and thick socks.

  What is Yin Yoga?

Yin yoga is a passive practice which primarily targets the deeper tissues of the body – the connective tissue, fascia and ligaments – through relaxing the muscles and holding poses for 3-5 minutes. It helps to improve mobility, reduce tension and calm the mind and is the perfect antidote for an active lifestyle.
