CPC Review Course Description

AAPC of Kansas City offers an eight-hour CPC exam review course taught by a certified coder. This course helps prepare students planning to sit for the CPC exam. A strong knowledge of CPT coding, diagnosis coding, medical terminology and anatomy are recommended before taking the course. This course offers detailed information on CPT and ICD-10 coding as well as practice questions for each chapter that simulate the content and difficulty of the actual exam. They allow the attendee to become familiar with the format and time constraints of the real test. A PowerPoint presentation, sample questions and tips on test taking techniques are provided prior to the course. In addition, this course qualifies for 8 CEUs for certified coders wishing to maintain their certification. Non-certified coders are not eligible for the CEUs.

Objectives

Provide test taking techniques, tips and practice questions to enhance the chances of passing the CPC exam. Review important information from each chapter of the CPT book. Review a sampling of the ICD-10 codes routinely associated with each chapter of the CPT book. Provide information by chapter on what you need to know to code services from that section. Familiarize the learner with the E&M codes through tables, examples and practice questions.
