An exceptional all-in-one opportunity to sculpt a portrait head in clay from a life model, then produce a finished plaster cast of the work. Taught by a range of some of the top portrait artist in the country, this course offers a great opportunity to learn a range of different portrait modeling skills and approaches. The course is suitable for people of all levels, including beginners. You will be sculpting a portrait head, or you could choose to do a small torso during the first 6-weeks. Over the final 4 weeks you will learn how to make a 2-piece plaster waste mould, produce a plaster cast and patinate a finished piece. Students will strengthen their understanding of a range of sculptural language.
