This course will stretch and challenge your creative approach to drawing through using innovative ways to approach drawing from memory and imagination. You will explore a range of 2D, 3D and 4D methods including building sketch models and drawing from them; responding to texts to develop visualisations; and digital layering and collage. Over the ten weeks, we will develop tools to enable you to create narrative spaces and settings, and to put together highly imaginative contemporary pieces. Methods such as perspective drawing, placing the life model in an imaginary space, and drawing from objects to create ‘hybrid’ forms, will hugely develop the students’ imaginative drawing vocabulary and compositional understanding.
