The course offers you an opportunity to develop your practice into abstraction. With guidance from your tutor and discussion with the group, you will identify what abstraction is and how you can make abstract or abstracted sculpture. You will also discover new techniques and materials to make art with.

Julian Wild is Vice-President of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. He graduated from Kingston University in 1995. Julian has over 20 years of experience of making abstract and abstracted sculpture in a variety of materials and processes. He has been commissioned to make public sculptures by organisations such Cass Sculpture Foundation, Fidelity Investments and Oxford University. He has exhibited widely including Chatsworth House, William Benington Gallery, Modern Art Oxford, Sculpture in the City and The Saatchi Gallery. He was shortlisted for the Jerwood Sculpture Prize in 2005 and was awarded the prestigious RBKC/CACT studio bursary in 2009. Julian has also taught sculpture regularly in further and higher education.
