This course focuses on employing both intaglio and relief techniques with collage and cardboard plate making. It focuses on the hand drawn image. Students will also learn to work with aluminium plates to make drypoint images, which can be further combined with carborundum printmaking to develop a fast and immediate style of printmaking. This course is ideal for students who wish to bring their drawing, texture and colour skills to the print studio, to complete a series of multi-plate colour prints. Guided by one to one tutoring from Sue Corke, our current Head of Print and a British printmaker with extensive professional printmaking experience, students will expand their knowledge and develop a unique self-led project.

Sue Corke is our current Head of Print. She has worked extensively in print studios around Europe as a printer, tutor and artist since first serving an apprenticeship in Etching and Lithography at Edinburgh Printmakers. She often works in partnership with German artist Hagen Betzwieser as We Colonised The Moon.
