The aim of this course is to help you to start to think about some of the broader thematic issues in drawing. The topics that will be discussed are Energy, Rhythm, Weight/Gravity, Balance, Empathy, Mystery, Chaos, Monumentality, Truth – distortion and simplicity. These issues are fundamental questions and ideas that artists have thought about for centuries. You will deepen your thoughts about the craft of drawing and ultimately find your own way to challenge yourself and produce well considered works of creative self-expression.
