Sunday, 15 Mar 2015 2pm - 5pm

Too long has crochet been considered “best for blankets and home-wares.” Learn how to use crochet to create fabrics (both lacy and solid) with amazing drape and elasticity that will form the basis for beautiful crochet garments and accessories.

In the class we will explore some of the lesser known stitches and techniques and consider what makes an item wearable and how to create it by designing your own, adjusting existing patterns or careful pattern selection. Students should bring a range of different size hooks and yarns in a variety of fibres and weights to play with and their favourite stitch dictionary (optional).

Skill Level: Suitable for students with a knowledge of the basic stitches.
