London: Recently formed charities working in high risk areas internationally

Registration: 9.30am

Following high demand, the Charity Commission, the regulator of charities in England and Wales, is running additional workshops for recently formed charities working in high risk areas internationally, including where there may be conflict and/or political instability.

Please note these events will follow a similar structure to those held in November 16 - May 17.

The purpose of these events is to provide advice and guidance on legal requirements and best practice to charities operating in such areas, and discuss how to apply these practically in complex working environments.

The events are free to attend. Lunch, as well as tea and coffee, will be provided and certificates of attendance will be available for participants.

Event Topics

  • Charity trustees and their duties in the context of international work
  • Risk assessment of international work and due diligence when working with other organisations
  • Monitoring and reporting the proper end use of charitable funds
  • Moving and receiving funds safely in the UK and internationally
  • Managing your charity‚Äôs reputation when working internationally

We are dedicated to making the events informative, relevant and interesting; therefore there will be opportunities for networking, discussion and questions throughout the event.

Who should attend?

The event is specifically intended for trustees, managers, and others running recently-formed charities operating in high risk areas internationally.

Location: CCT Venues, Aldersgate House, 135-137 Aldersgate Street, EC1A 4JA London
